Think Tank review
Think Tank Retrospective 7 V2.0 Review
Think TankRetrospective 7 V2.0 · Soft canvas shoulder bag
Verdict
8.3/10
The Retrospective line is the most affordable way to get the heritage-messenger look with real camera-bag padding. V2.0 added a zipped top under the flap and silencers for the hook-and-loop.
Best for: Budget-minded shooters who like the classic photojournalist look.

Pros and cons
What we like
- Affordable for a quality heritage-style bag
- Soft, form-fitting and discreet
- Laptop and tablet pockets
Watch out for
- Canvas, not leather
- Less structured protection than padded leather bags
Think Tank vs Cravar
It costs about half of a leather Cravar Rana 13. The Rana is more structured and better looking; the Retrospective is lighter on the wallet and softer to carry.
Prices are approximate street prices checked in October 2026 and vary by retailer, region and color. Specs come from the brand and authorized retailers.
