Billingham Hadley Pro 2020 Review

BillinghamHadley Pro 2020 · Waterproof canvas/FibreNyte shoulder bag
Verdict
8.7/10

Billingham has made camera bags in England since 1973, and the Hadley Pro 2020 is its modern classic: a narrow, deep shoulder bag in three-layer waterproof fabric with a closed-cell foam insert. It doesn't carry a laptop, but it is one of the best at keeping rain out.

Best for: Photographers who shoot in bad weather and care more about protection than laptop space.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Excellent waterproofing for a soft bag
  • Lighter than full-leather bags (1.23 kg)
  • Built to last decades; easy to service

Watch out for

  • No laptop sleeve
  • Narrow interior (8 cm) limits bigger bodies
  • Premium price for its size

Billingham vs Cravar

Compared with the Cravar Rana 13, the Hadley Pro is lighter and more weatherproof but noticeably narrower and has no laptop slot. Choose the Rana if you carry a laptop; choose the Hadley if you shoot outdoors in all weather.
